Change is a deviation from the status quo. This review paper presentation aims to get an overview of how changes have been handled in different times, locations, sizes, effects, and contexts in higher education settings. For example, some might attempt to control deviations, and others might try to respond or react to them. The review paper presentation will show how we can plan for reactions and responses to deviations before and after the deviations occur. In addition, there are examples of educational reactive and proactive plans that will be provided to deliver the value and the need to prepare for any contingency at any educational level. It can be at international, national, organizational, or even more at a small level such as class level.
In addition, the role, impact, nature, differences, and similarities between responding plans will be examined. This review emphasizes the need to have planning for appropriate responses in instructional contexts. Therefore, after analyzing the planning preparation and elements, a logical next step would involve studying further and developing a proactive contingency plan for instruction.
