Clinical Supervision Forum (64977)
Friday, January 6, 2023 (12:50)
Session: Session 3
Room: 318B
Presentation Type:Oral Presentation
This interactive forum will begin with an introduction and integration of three models of counselor supervision: the seven-eyed model of supervision (Hawkins, 2011), the developmental model (Stolenberg & McNeill, 2010) and the reflecting team model (Pare, 1999). Based on these ideas, participants are invited to bring forward to our group peer-supervision session their own clinical supervision experiences with students for which they wish to gain ideas, counselor educator peer-support and further dialogue on clinical issues in counsellor education. Members will leave with a better understanding of how these models of clinical supervision can be helpful in their work as mental health educators as well as receive some specific assistance with the students they are working alongside.
