About Hawaii

Hawaii has served as a rich crossroads of peoples and cultures, and beyond its indigenous Pacific island roots has strong European and Asian historical influences.

Our conference venue, near Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, is situated on Oahu, a tropical island abundantly rich in flora and fauna, dramatic in landscape, and surrounded by turquoise seas.

Oahu is known locally as “The Gathering Place”, and we look forward to seeing academics from across the world gather together to exchange the latest in research, network, and enjoy a conference in beautiful surroundings.

Hawaii Convention Center

About the Conference Venue

Located within walking distance of Waikiki, the Hawaii Convention Center is quite simply unique. Open to the outdoors, with terraces, lanais, courtyards, waterfalls and fishponds, this remarkable facility combines the latest in cutting-edge technology with authentic Hawaiian ambience. The cultural diversity and legendary spirit of "aloha" encourages attendees to see the world in a new light – it’s no surprise that people accomplish more in this environment. Best of all, the warmth of Hawaii and its people continue to inspire, long after meetings have ended.

The Hawaii Convention Center is centrally located in the heart of Honolulu, at the gateway to Waikiki, on the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Kapiolani Boulevard. Conveniently, it is just 8 miles (12 km) from Honolulu International Airport, within 1.5 miles of 28,000 hotel rooms in all price categories, and adjacent to an array of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues.
